As a cyclist, I know firsthand how easy it is to underestimate the importance of hydration. I’ve made the mistake of not drinking enough water on rides, and I’ve paid the price—fatigue, cramps, and once, even heat stroke on a long tour. That experience taught me a hard lesson: staying hydrated isn’t optional. It’s essential. The Consequences of Dehydration on the Bike 1.
